A City in the making
Polaris World, Spain's leading golf resort developer, has now released the most impressive golf resort project in Europe. This spectacular resort, will almost become a town in it's own right, with all of the facilities you will need within its 9 million square metre boundaries.
Condado de Alhama will encompass, when finished, nearly 20,000 properties that will accommodate close to 60,000 people and will be divided into 5 individual residential areas, each with its own village shopping centre. In the heart of the resort will be the main town centre. This central commercial hub will be built in a Moorish style, based on the Alhambra Palace in Granada, and on a huge, man made, lake totally surrounding it by water. Within the resort you will have all the facilities you will need; restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, supermarkets, banks, cinemas etc. as well as a 5 star hotel, kindergarten, school, medical centre, pharmacy and a host of other amenities
There will also be three 18 hole golf courses designed by the world famous Nicklaus Design group, Jack Nicklaus will design one personally. The other two courses will be designed so that each hole is a replica of another hole found on a Nicklaus course elsewhere in the world. This will truly be a golfers paradise. Additional leisure facilities have also been taken into consideration with tennis and paddle courts, football pitches, a health spa and a modern gym.
Condado de Alhama Golf Resort will be located inland approximately 20km from the coast and 15 minutes South of Murcia city, the regional capital. The backdrop to the resort is the Sierra Espuna protected mountain park. The Sierra Espuna is a beautiful mountain area, cris-crossed with walking and mountain bike trails and yet easily accessible by car. It is also planned to have a motorway running alongside the resort linking it to the new international airport at Corvera, Murcia city and the coast.
The first stage of Condado de Alhama will consist of over 2200 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, with wide terraces and underground parking, on the golf course with front line views and 200 3, 4 and 5 bedroom villas, in a typical Andalucian style design, with a private garden and swimming pool, on plots ranging between 400-900 M2.
